About Northwest Double Dutch

During NWDD classes and camps you will have the opportunity to learn new tricks, meet new friends and have a great time. We have youth, adult and family classes available. Double dutch is the ideal sport for most ages and athletic abilities!

Students will learn and practice single rope basics, tricks and routines to warm-up before class begins. The majority of class time will be spent learning and practicing long rope and double dutch basics, tricks and games.

The focus of all Northwest Double Dutch classes is to have fun while promoting fitness, teamwork, respect and communication in a supportive and nurturing environment. NWDD classes are set to music, are high energy and super fun!

Northwest Double Dutch was founded by Andrea Gardner in October of 2007 as a small project to offer double dutch instruction to youth on the weekends. Over the course of the past year, the popularity of Double Dutch rope jumping in Seattle and across the country has skyrocketed and children and adults all over are forming teams for fun, fitness and competition. We focus on offering instruction to everyone in fun, high energy, non-competitive and success oriented classes.

We are founding members of one of Seattle's adult Double Dutch rope jumping teams (formed in 2003) -- OntheDouble (dutch). We have performed at Bumbershoot, Rat City Roller Girls, The Henry Art Gallery, The Seattle Art Museum and many more. Jaime Keeling is back in Seattle from a 2 year stay in NYC where, among many other exciting endeavors, she formed an adult Double Dutch Team: Brooklyn Double Dutch. She spends her time jumping, teaching and working on local independent films. Her great attitude, kindness and positive personality make her an awesome Double Dutch coach.

Andrea Gardner has extensive experience teaching and jumping. She has been working with kids for over 15 years; teaching, nannying, planning local family events such as Street Scramble Urban Adventures Races and The Chicks Play Hard annual event. Her patience, dedication and sense of humor make her a totally awesome Double Dutch coach.
